The Jim Queskin Jug Band featured a fetching young Italian singer named Maria Grazia Rosa Domenica d'Amato who later married Geof Muldaur, (Maria Muldaur) Here's a very short clip of Big Fat Woman Blues. I highly reccommend buying the DVD this is from.

Robert Scheer in 1966

He's still on the radio today among other places, but here he is in the middle of Berkley, Ca. in the mid 1960's deciding that running for congress was the right way to bring a change in Washington. He didn't start the peace movement but he represented, at one moment in time, their best hope for change, ending the war, change through the system of democracy. He narrowly lost.
